Biography

Dr. Ramon F. Brena is full professor and researcher at the Tecnologico de Monterrey since 1990, where he heads a research group in Ambient Intelligence. He is also director of the Master level graduate programs in Intelligent Systems. Dr. Brena holds a PhD from the INPG, Grenoble, France, where he presented a doctoral Thesis related to Knowledge in Program Synthesis. His current research and publication areas include Ambient Intelligence, Multiagent Systems, Ubiquitous computing, Semantic Web, and Artificial Intelligence in general. He has been visiting professor at the U. of Texas at Dallas and the Université de Montréal. Dr Brena is member of the ACM, the Mexican Academy of Sciences, the CONACyT SNI and the Mexican Academy of Computer Science, where he leads the section on Knowledge and Reasoning.
