Biography

Dr. César Cárdenas is the Director of the Electronics, Information Technologies and Mechatronics Design Center and Professor of the Mechatronics Department at the School of Engineering, Architecture and Health at Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Guadalajara. He has been at Tecnológico de Monterrey since 1996. He obtained his PhD in Networks and Computer Science in 2010 from Télécom ParisTech. During his graduate studies, he participated in several European Projects related to Internet of the Future. He also holds specializations in space and satellite communications from the International Space University. César has been visiting researcher at the University of California Berkeley, he has published 2 international conference proceedings, 10 book chapters, 15 journals, 65 international conferences and around 50 national conferences, directed/participated in more than 25 master and 5 doctoral thesis, has worked in more than 30 industrial projects. He participates in several academic/industrial committees and national research networks. His current research interest are Internet of the Future, Automation of Engineering and Design and Smart Systems and Environments (Smart Cities, Smart Grid, Intelligent Transportations Systems, etc.).
