León Velázquez León’s career oscillates between Art and Technology. He is Coordinator of Technology Innovation at Axtel. He studied a major in Industrial Engineering at ITESM and a Master’s Degree in Arts at the Transforming Arts Institute in Madrid. He coordinates Intrapreneurship and Technology programs at Axtel where he fosters disruptive initiatives such as an ICT Living Lab for Smart Cities in Monterrey. Jacobo Gonzalez was born on September 27th of 1975 at Mexico City. He studied a major in Economics at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG, 1994-1999), and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MEDEX) at Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresa (IPADE). He has several studies on Management, Finance and Business.

Currently, he is counselor of the IT Advisory Committee (CATI), which is part of the Under secretariat of Industry and Commerce of the Secretariat of Economy1; he is Regional Delegate of the Mexican Internet Association; CANIETI Representative to the Government Transformation Objective (Open Government initiative) and to the Enabler: Open Data from the National Digital Strategy; he is counselor in the Mexican Technology Platform; and he is Member of the National IT Clusters Council, among other honor positions…read more
